Yes, but it also has some great health benefits too. Its not Kachumbari without onions, tomatoes, maybe abit of lemons, avocados and coriander (Dania). And it tastes great with as an addition to any kind meal and bitings.

Here's a fun fact: Each of the above mentioned ingredients have amazing benefits for your body.


1. Onions
Did you know that if you put a peeled onion next to your bedside when you have a flu you will wake up feeling way better? Smelly as they are, onions are known to hold hundreds of health benefits especially when it comes to fighting disease. These include:
The phytochemicals in onions along with their vitamin C help improve immunity. They also contain chromium, which assists in regulating blood sugar.
For centuries, onions have been used to reduce inflammation and heal infections. Raw onion also lower the production of bad cholesterol (LDL), thus keeping your heart healthy. Onions contain a powerful quercetin which is known to play a significant role in preventing cancer.
It will even ease your bee sting! Onions scavenge free radicals, thereby reducing your risk of developing gastric ulcers. and are rich in Vitamin A.


2. Tomatoes
